U-19 Girls Win at
FPYC All Star Tourney

      Both Springfield Youth Club under-19 girls teams took home trophies from the Fairfax Police Youth Club's Father's Day All Star Tournament following 1-0 victories in the championship games played at Ft. Belvoir.

      The Frank Enos-coached team defeated Winchester on a goal by Jen Stumpf, who was assisted by Jalene Rollins. The team coached by Jim Miller beat Herndon on a Becky Meadows goal with assists going to Kari Sciarretta and Kelley Miller.

      Earlier, the Enos all star team posted 4-1 and 5-0 victories and a 1-1 tie. Scoring were Julia Graven (3), Jeannie Mahoney and Jen Stumpf (with 2 each), and Kristin Dickerson, Margie Lewis and Carolyn Morris with single tallies. Assists went to Sherrie Cranston (4), Allison Davis (2), and Julia Graven, Laura Hughes, Margie Lewis, Jeannie Mahoney and Jalene Rollins.

      To reach the finals, Miller's team won all three of their games -- 5-1, 3-0 and 4-0. Scoring goals were Kelly O'Neill (4), Elizabeth Adolfie and Becky Meadows (2 each), and Jamie Fulmer, Kelley Miller and Adria Truempy. Providing assists were Lindsay Berkowitz (4) and Elizabeth Adolfie, Darya Beheshtin, Kelley Miller, Meghan Pendleton, Kelly O'Neill and Kari Sciarretta.
