ISU Alumni College in Chianti in a Tuscan Villa

Wine Tasting, Tuscan Cooking & La Banda!!

Wine Tasting at the Castello di Monsanto

Above left: The Castello di Monsanto, built in 1750 by the Florentine family Palloni, and located in the heart of Chianti Classico. Above right: From left to right, Mary, "Chuck," the castle dog, Ines, and our guide for the delightful wine tasting (along with some bruschetta)!

Tuscan Cooking Class at the Villa Tavolese

Above: At left, Ines, our Campus Director (in the tall hat), and Fiorella, the Villa's cook (in red apron) and sometime singer, talk about the day's recipe. Right, Mary tastes the "ribolitta," one of many Tuscan dishes made with white beans.

And the Band Played On!!!

Above & below: "La Banbaccio Di Marcialla" -- the Band of Marcialla -- entertained us royally. The music -- tho not sophisticated -- was energetic & the instruments were (to say the least) intriguing!!
